Update on Buildoffsite’s involvement in sector events – July 2019

As part of the continued growth of the offsite sector, the Buildoffsite team and governing forum are delighted to represent our members at a range of sector events, workshops and discussions to enable and drive the continued use of offsite techniques and modern methods of construction.

During July, we had the pleasure of taking part in the below;

CLC One Year On; which provided an update on the successes of the individual work streams over the past 12 months and focusses for the next year. Presentations from the day can be found here.

Construction Innovation Hub – Platform Design Open Call; which set out how businesses could respond to this Open Call with their technology, product or service and to be part of the collaborative development team responsible for the design, manufacture, test and assembly of a next generation, proof-of-concept building delivered using a Platform Design for Manufacture & Assembly (P-DfMA) approach. CLC Innovation in Buildings Workstream; which focusses on embedding innovative construction techniques to improve productivity and capacity in the construction industry, and the quality and whole-life performance of buildings.

The Housing Forum MMC Working Group; which focussed on warranties, insurance and funding in the sector.
