NG Bailey’s freedom group extends UK power network contract
Freedom, an NG Bailey Group company, has been awarded an extension on a major UK Power Networks framework, to support its essential maintenance and commissioning works.
The £49m Overhead Line & Distribution Capital Delivery Services framework was awarded on a two-year plus four-year basis, with a full four-year extension now granted to power engineering and infrastructure services company, Freedom.
The programme is split into two frameworks. On one, Freedom will provide joint primary support on UK Power Networks’ overhead line (OHL) services in the Eastern Power Networks region, including the construction, commissioning and maintenance of cable works across the 230v to 33kV network.
The other sees Freedom providing a primary role excavating and reinstating Low Voltage and High Voltage cabling services and other associated civil works as part of the Distribution Capital Delivery (DCD) framework for the Southern and Eastern Power Network areas.
Freedom has also committed to support UK Power Networks with restoring supplies to customers in the event of extreme weather conditions.
