Cadcoe offers an award-winning advanced apprenticeship programme in 2D design and 3D modelling for the structural engineering and construction industry, helping people throughout the UK to access future-proofed careers in design engineering.
We think this is a great opportunity, for anyone in the offsite or modular construction industry, so have decided to bring your attention to it, as there’s only a few weeks left to get the ball rolling:
It’s been an exciting year for Cadcoe, a training provider of 2D and 3D CAD Apprenticeships for the construction sector. In March, the company partnered with Dudley College in order to offer employers access to the most current training for our industry.
Managing Director, Daniel Leech is encouraging employers from within the offsite arena to consider apprenticeships as a way of recruiting their future workforce and bringing new skills into their business; “In recent months, Cadcoe has seen a noticeable increase in demand from volumetric / offsite manufacturing businesses who are looking to increase their in-house design and detailing teams. The way our apprenticeship programme is designed, means employers will gain a proficient and work ready candidate from day one of full-time employment.”
From September 2017 Cadcoe will be delivering its 16 week fast-track computer aided design course, which forms the front end of its apprenticeship in engineering construction within the brand new ‘Advance II’ training centre – a purpose built facility for advanced construction technologies.
Cadcoe and its work with Dudley College has already attracted interest from industry leader Mark Farmer, who comments “The partnership between Cadcoe and Dudley College represents a fantastic link between best in class organisations from both industry and the further education sector. It should be used as a shining example of the type of relationship that needs to be forged on a much wider basis to address the growing issue of skills shortages across the sector.”
There is limited space (and time!) for employers who are interested in recruiting a CAD Technician / Design Engineer Apprentice as part of its September course:

Our members recognise that they are ahead of the game in providing young people with an attractive and really valuable training opportunity through apprenticeships. The offsite community needs enthusiastic and skilled teams to ensure they create the technological advancements the sector needs and Cadcoe apprentices are a great way to make that a reality. It is inspiring to see a partnership in place, with a shared vision for education, that really understands the imperative to accelerate skills and productivity improvement within construction.”
