Tamimi PEB Sets New Standard for Modular Construction in Saudi Arabia, Backed by BOPAS Accreditation
Tamimi PEB, a leading innovator in Saudi Arabia’s construction sector, is making headlines with its bold strategic shift towards permanent modular building systems—an evolution made possible through its accreditation by the Buildoffsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS).
Since 2021, Tamimi has recorded an astonishing 800% increase in revenue, driven by the deployment of light-gauge steel-framed Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) for turnkey construction villages. With the launch of its new five-year plan beginning in 2025, the company is expanding its capabilities to include modular mid- and high-rise structures, and the offsite manufacture of kitchen and bathroom pods—part of a broader effort to optimise quality and reduce onsite activity.
The strategic expansion is further underpinned by major upgrades to Tamimi’s Jubail and NEOM manufacturing facilities. The introduction of semi-automated production systems is projected to yield a 35% increase in productivity, aligning with the company’s broader goals of industrialising construction and supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Tamimi’s transformation is emblematic of a growing global shift towards offsite and modular solutions. Central to this momentum is BOPAS—a quality assurance scheme developed by BUILDOFFSITE in collaboration with LRQA. BOPAS provides the credibility and assurance needed for innovative construction methods to attract investment, meet regulatory requirements, and gain the confidence of funders and insurers.
“We’re proud to support forward-thinking companies like Tamimi PEB, whose ambitions are matched by a commitment to quality and performance,” said a spokesperson for Buildoffsite. “Their success story is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when innovation is underpinned by confidence and credibility.”
As the global construction sector looks to build faster, greener, and smarter, Tamimi PEB—guided by the BOPAS framework—is positioning itself as a regional leader in delivering the future of the built environment.
